Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index advances 0.27% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded positive around 10:35AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Natco Pharma Ltd.(up 2.64 per cent), Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 1.55 per cent), Zydus Lifesciences Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent), Lupin Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) and Mankind Pharma Ltd.(up 0.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 0.62 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent), Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.38 per cent), J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was up 0.27 per cent at 22655.9 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 58.1 points at 25153.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 198.58 points at 82435.9.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, JP Power, Alok Industries, Ola Electric Mobilit and LE Travenues Techno were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of LE Travenues Techno, Gujarat Apollo, Lumax Ind, Aegis Vopak Terminal and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Setubandhan Infra, Raj Television, Golden Tobacco, Eurotex Ind and Keynote Financial hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
